FAQ

The most common question folks ask is, “Will this blaster do my job?”
Blasters are not job specific.  They are simply a tool used to dispense media into an air stream.  With a change of media, nozzle size, and technique you can: take the paint off a car, eliminate rust on old farm implements, polish aluminum and stainless steel, etch a tombstone, clean scum off pool tiles, freshen weathered log cabins, remove furniture finishes, and brighten up years worth of buildup on concrete driveways, walkways, and steps. The list is only limited by your imagination. Blasters are very versatile tools with virtually unlimited uses.

What size nozzle do I need?
Please refer to our Compressor Nozzle Match page for more information.

Will the blaster shoot this media?
Yes, Texas Blaster units will hold any media desired.  What kind of media used is up to you. Texas Blasters can be used with aluminum oxide, baking soda, coal, corncob, glass, plastic beads, sand, shell, and steel shot just to name a few. With a Texas Blaster and your choice of media, you can clean everything from granite, marble, and hardened steel to aluminum, brass, and copper. This includes brick, cement, ceramic, CMU, glass, fiberglass, limestone, and stucco too.

Do you sell blast media?
Nope. We just make Texas Blasters and focus on building a really good tool.

Do you offer help if I can’t get my blaster up and running?
Absolutely. In fact, we take pride in our technical help.  If you are having trouble getting a Texas Blaster working properly, give us a holler.  Since we use Texas Blasters too, we know what they will do and how to do it. Texas Blasters work. Period.

You don’t offer a warranty?
Sure we do. Per our terms and conditions we warrant to the original Buyer that equipment manufactured or sold by Texas Blaster will be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of six months from the date of purchase. Texas Blasters are not complicated machines with moving parts that provide mechanical advantage to preform work. They are simple tools that reliably and consistently meter blast media into an air stream. They do this using a minimal amount of commonly available parts that rarely if ever fail (the only moving parts on the entire unit are commonly available ball-valves). In the event something fails or doesn’t work to your expectations, we are here to resolve all your concerns.

Is there a return policy?
After 55 years we know what we build and we know it works. If you use it then it’s a used tool and we don’t sell used tools. Therefore there are no returns after you’ve used it. However, we are people too and we understand buyer’s remorse.  If the tank is unused and still in its original box, we will credit your account less the cost of shipping. For more information on our return policy and instructions on how to return, please contact us.

Well, what if it’s a piece of junk that doesn’t work like you say?
It does. Our longevity is a testament to this. We are too small and honest a company to have survived 55+ years selling junk. We are always here to listen and resolve any concerns that may arise. Contact us here: Tech Support

Exactly how much is Made in America?
The tanks and all of the other components that require custom fabrication, as well as, all the assembly processes are done at our facility here in Rockport, Texas. The bulk of our “off the shelf” parts used on the Texas Blaster are ordered from American suppliers, though they may include foreign made components. By using many standard fittings, if in the rare event a part fails, replacements can be found at hardware stores anywhere.

Texas Blaster believes in American made products by American made hands.  Our hoods are hand sewn by a mother-daughter combo in Paris, Ohio.  The powder coated finish is provided by a family owned business in San Antonio, Texas.

The sandblaster market is competitive, as I’m sure you’ve notice if you’ve been doing Google searches. We aim to fill a customer need that falls somewhere between low priced foreign imports and very expense feature rich units. Quality and value are the governing factors in the construction of Texas Blasters. We choose components that last and hold up to everyday use, and we use our own Blaster, so we know.

We are an American family running a “Mom and Pop” operation. It is literally myself, my husband and my son. We have sold 1000’s of these units over our 55 plus year history. Our longevity is our commitment to a quality product. By placing a Made in America decal on our tanks we let our customers know they are supporting an American small business. Many companies falsely claim to be 100% Made in America. It helps boost sales and build a false confidence in their products. That’s their choice. We at Texas Blaster believe truth and honesty should prevail, even if it cost us a few customers.

So know that when you buy a Texas Blaster; you are supporting American families.
